Bol Bachchan !

Bol Bachchan… Another Laugh Riot by veteran comedy director Rohit Shetty..  Post the Golmaal franchise, Shetty ‘s new flick recount to “Golmaal” way too literally.  This one is the Shetty’s tribute to 1979  cult movie Golmaal.

The hero of the film is definitely Rohit Shetty. With all the age old ingredients of a typical Bollywood Masaala Flick, Shetty manages the show quite brilliantly. The introductory song by Trio of  Sr Bachchan, Jr Bachchan & Devgan with hilarious lyrics, vibrant sets n bollywood ishtyle latka-jhatkas, sets the very mood of the flick.

The novel screenplay, artistically lavish sets, side-splitting dialogues  are the strongholds of the movie. I will specially dedicate this space to mention couple of  uproarious Hinglish one-liners from Devgan which have already become the talk of the town…  “When elders get cozy, youngers don’t put their nosy” for Jab bade baat kar rahen hon toh bachche beech me toka nahin karte. & “My chest has become blouse” for Tujhe paakar meri chhaati aur bhi chaudi ho gayi hai… etc provides rib cracking laughing moments to this mad revelry.

In the acting department, Jr. Bachchan sizzles. He displays his range from tough Abhishek to sissy Abbas with delight. Bachchan pulls off an all time craziest dance sequence as “toin” Abbas with such hilarity that he can be labeled as the best comic gay of Bollywood. Devgan is a class act mouthing  side-splitting one liners like “I will make you remember Milk no. 6” with deadpan face. Krushna, Asrani, Archana Puran Singh and Neeraj Vohra ensure the gusto to this maddening riot. Asin & Prachi are easily forgetable as female leads, probably only there to showcase their new wardrobe.

One thing without which a Rohit Shetty film is incomplete is, gravity defying fight sequences and  flying Scorpios. BB also has its fair share of airborne cars, mindless chases and dhinchak fights that can give all the Arnolds, Sylvesters and our desi Sunnys of the world, the run for their money.

All in all a mindless but refreshing  family entertainer.
