Eyes wide open

eyes wide open

Blindfolded we are, with eyes wide open,
hidden in nooks and crannies
are quaint sights
Of which we are innocently oblivion

Shadowed by peer’s vision,
overcrowded thoughts float,
bringing soul no peace,
mind no thought worth pondering upon.

I feel like I’ve travelled in time
Way ahead than asked.

I loved it when things were simpler,
When “bread” meant “bread”,
and stars spoke a lot!
Now they are just cast by smoke

As I ride my bike down to town.
Where geometry rules & irregularity has lost its stint
I ride my bike downtown- blindfolded,
With my eyes wide open under the sunlight.
